Privacy Policy

Street Soccer Crew ("we", "us") runs streetsoccercrew.com, a free community site where Orlando parents organize and join pickup soccer games for kids. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, we never sell your data, and we don't collect information about your kids.

What we collect

• Account info: your email address, display name, and — if you add them — a profile photo and bio. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
• Game activity: games you list (including their location) and games you join, with how many kids you're bringing.
• Home area (optional): if you set a home area for "games near you" alerts, we store that map point. It is never shown to other users and is used only to decide which new games to email you about.
• Comments and ratings: comments you post on games (visible to signed-in parents) and star ratings you give games you attended. Organizer ratings are shown only as an average — never who rated what.
• Phone number (optional): only if you choose to add it for text notifications, and only with your explicit consent (see Text messages below). It is never shown to other parents.
• Waitlist email: if you join our mailing list on the homepage, we store your email address in Mailchimp.
• Reports: if you report a game or user, we store the report so our team can review it. Reports are confidential.

Children's privacy

Street Soccer Crew is for parents and guardians. Accounts are for adults 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We intentionally store only the number of kids attending a game and the age range of games — never children's names, photos, or profiles. Please don't include children's names or other identifying details in your bio, game titles, or descriptions.

Who processes your data

We don't sell your data to anyone. We use a small set of service providers to run the site:

• Supabase — our database and sign-in provider (stores accounts, games, RSVPs)
• Netlify — hosts the website
• Google — optional Google sign-in, and Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies (see Cookies below)
• Mailchimp — the homepage mailing list
• Resend — sends transactional emails (game updates, reminders)
• Twilio — sends text messages, only to parents who opted in
• OpenStreetMap — provides map tiles and address search; when you view a map or search a location, your IP address reaches OpenStreetMap's servers like it would for any website you visit

Cookies

We use two kinds of cookies. Sign-in cookies keep you logged in — the site can't work without them, so they are always on. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how the site is used; these are set only if you choose "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind anytime via "Cookie preferences" in the footer.

Text messages (SMS)

Texts are strictly opt-in. We send them only if you added your phone number in notification settings and checked the consent box — and only for time-sensitive things about games you've joined: reminders, changes, and cancellations. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe instantly, or clear your phone number in settings. Consent is never a condition of using Street Soccer Crew. We record when you gave consent, as US law requires.

Emails

We send emails about games you've joined (updates, cancellations, reminders) and — if enabled — new games near your home area. You can turn each type off at notification settings. Mailing-list emails from Mailchimp have their own unsubscribe link.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and its data, or to request a copy of your data, email hello@streetsoccercrew.com and we'll take care of it promptly.
